outstanding teacher of the year in Health and Physical Education as well as the Teacher of the Year award at MacFarland. While being very active in school activities, various organizations and coaching tennis, she never lost site of her devotion to her family and friends.

In 2000, her friends started the Celebration of Life golf outing and picnic. It was a way of showing our support to Mary Jo and her family. At that time, we were all dealing with Mary Jo’s struggle with cancer and through the outing, we were able to feel less helpless and also show her our love and support.
